Let’s answer the awkward stuff

  • Nope! Our open-system colonics are gentle and you’re in control the whole time. Most people are surprised by how relaxing the process actually is.

  • If you look at the viewing tube—yes. And honestly? Most of our clients do. It’s weirdly satisfying.

  • Yes! Just wear a tampon. It’s totally safe—and might even help with period bloat. You should remove a menstrual cup prior. As you release the water you may accidentally release the menstrual cup.

  • Absolutely. The gut is connected to almost everything. Many of our clients experience clearer skin, more energy, and less bloat after just a few sessions.

  • Listen—we’ve seen some things. If you’re doing a parasite cleanse, don’t be surprised if you see results (like... actual results). Totally normal, and yes, we’ll talk about it.

  • The average person has 5 to 20 pounds of old waste sitting in their large intestine/Colon you can be packing that around for several years, even decades. All that old dehydrated waste begins to rot and become putrid. It is disease causing and responsible for so many gut & health issues.

  • Every body, diet, and goal is different. One session is better than no sessions, but to get the very most out of your session we like to see someone try to do three sessions in the first week with a day in between each one.
As you hydrate you begin softening old, dehydrated junk, preparing your colon for the next session. It’s like soaking a baked on lasagna pan. By the third session a client is typically releasing more than they did in the first two sessions combined. We sell packages to make the sessions more affordable and we try our best to be as flexible as we can to accommodate schedules. When a client buys a package of 10, which is our most popular package they will do 3 to 5 sessions pretty consecutive, spacing the remaining out as maintenance. The maintenance plan is individualized. Your Colon is approximately as long as you are tall and Colon HydroTherapy is a Therapy. You will be chipping away at a lifetime of yucky buildup.

  • No! Out with the old, in with the new. It’s crucial to clean up the old rotten junk so that you can put the good stuff back in. The good bugs cannot thrive in an unhealthy, unbalanced, rotten environment. As you’re eliminating all the old garbage, it’s important to begin to focus on putting the good stuff in. Quality probiotics and fermented foods are key.

  • No! The rectal tube is the size of a number two pencil. It’s completely looped and it only goes in an inch and a half or so it slides in without effort or discomfort.

  • The two systems are polar opposites. The closed system (Not What We Use) is the old school type of Colon HydroTherapy system. It is pressurized and more invasive. It requires fasting and is not private. As you lie on a table the Hydrotherapist inserts a speculum the size of a roll of quarters into your rectum. The Hydrotherapist performs the procedure. Anytime you need to pass something larger than a roll of quarters or urinate the therapist removes the speculum and you go to a toilet to eliminate, the speculum is then reinserted. The Hydrotherapist is performing the entire colonic manually with pressurized water.

At Wellness Within we use the modern style “open” system. The open system is a very gentle, minimally invasive, gravity fed system. The entire process is very comfortable and effective. The results are seen immediately and speak for themselves with our system the client lies on a specialized colonic bed and inserts the lubricated rectal tube alone in private. The rectal tube is very small, the size of a #2 pencil, with just the tip of the tube going into the rectum, the insertion is easy and very comfortable. The entire process is completely private. There are no smells or sounds. The odors are removed immediately through an high-tech exhaust system taking any Oder immediately out of the building. The client is shown a nurse call button ensuring the Hydrotherapist is promptly notified if needed. Your Hydrotherapist is in the room with you as little or as much as you need. The rectal tube only delivers the water, the waste passes out and around the rectal tube. Everything is completely contained and moves through a clear tube allowing you to watch what you are eliminating.

  • No! You’re given everything you need at the end of your session to clean yourself up. Paper towels, wipes, and a sprayer, are provided. The cleanup is no more involved than wiping yourself after a bowel movement the same way you would at home.

  • No problem! You will urinate several times during the session as the colonic is very hydrating. With the open system you are able to urinate throughout the session, comfortably without getting off the bed.

  • No there is no prep or downtime. We see people every day who are headed to a workout, work or even hopping on a plane just after their session. You should leave feeling great, lighter, and energized.

  • The gut brain connection is a very real thing. Our intestines are our second brain. If you think of a child who has suffered abuse one of the first indicators is often times seen through bowel changes. When we become anxious, we typically either have diarrhea or constipation. One of the first things affected are our bowels when we are anxious, sad or upset. We hold onto things through our gut, both emotional and physical. At Wellness Within we work closely with clients who pair Colonics with their counseling session they will leave their counselor or EMDR session and come in for a colonic. It’s an emotional release as well as physical.

  • You should  notice increased energy, improved sleep, lifted brain fog and a flatter stomach. You will feel light and energized. Typically people notice these things between the first and third session. It varies from person to person.

  • No! The goal in doing Colonics is to improve your ability to go to the bathroom on your own. Often times when people are chronically constipated their colon becomes enlarged and misshapen so part of the “therapy” and benefit of Colonics is to get your colon back down to its proper shape and size, so that it can do the job it’s designed to do.
